Fillers
Filler refers to a cosmetic injectable treatment used to restore volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial features. It typically consists of substances like hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, or poly-L-lactic acid, which are biocompatible and temporary. These substances are injected beneath the skin to plump areas that may have lost volume due to aging or to contour specific features.
Fillers are commonly used to address various areas, including the cheeks, lips, jawline, and under-eye hollows. They are also effective in smoothing nasolabial folds (lines running from the nose to the mouth) and marionette lines (lines from the mouth corners to the chin). The effects are typically immediate, though some fillers may take a few days to fully settle, and results generally last from six months to two years, depending on the type of filler and the treated area.
